We booked a safari in 2020 with Kessy brothers and paid a deposit. Obviously, that got cancelled due to COVID. Reached out two years later and were able to use our deposit for a new trip this year. Serafin was always responsive via WhatsApp and organized a great 7 day safari for us at a very reasonable price. Their jeep was a bit older than some of the pricier tour companies but our guide Moody and cook Lamek were so friendly and knowledgeable about the animals, including where to find them. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip and have no hesitation in recommending Kessy brothers.

사장님이 포터로 시작하셔서 지금 사장님이되셔서 직원들 대우를 잘 해주시고 직원들이 해피하게 일하니 고객들도 여행을 통해 느낄수 있엇어요. 7일에 갓다가 친구하나가 5일로 혼자 바꿧는데 플랙시블하게 잘 대처 해주겪네요. 천천히 가시면 고산병은 제가 걱정햇던거보다 문제가 없엇지만 쉽지 않은 여정이예요. 현실적인 조언은, 음식은 3일까지 맛잇다가 제가 입맛을 잃어서인지 고기 재료를 앞전에 다 사용하셔서인지 중요한 서밋 전날과 다녀와서는 거의 샐러드나 야채수프 위주로 먹엇답니당! (서밋가는 날 전후 사진 참고) 힘이 부족햇어요 ㅠㅠ 팁은 마음에서 전한다고 하지만 대략 기대하는 비용이 대략 정해진 (가이드 포터들은 본인들의 월급으로 인지하고 계신거같아요 3일차부터는 와서 팁이 어떻게 works하는지 가이드가 와서 리마인드를 주시더라고요) 레잇이 잇는거같아요. 인당 5-6명의 팀으로 구성되고 합쳐서 저는 400달러정도 팁으로 줫지만 250-400정도로 생각하시면 되지않늘까 싶습니다. 햇빛 차단 잘 하세요 모자 얇은 장갑 등등 얼굴 까져요 ㅠㅠ

Couple of things about them that really helped me pick them from the other 1000+ companies but the main one was our budget for the trip. We are students and we were trying to save as much cost as possible so any deduction in cost helped. They are really open for discussion! Moreover, they provide you with free transport from and to the airport, 2 nights at a hotel, and they even fulfilled some small requests for example escorting us to a nearby market/pharmacy to buy souvenirs and prepare for the hike. They even laminated our Kilimanjaro certificates when we asked for them. As I talked with the people in the community, I made sure to always ask whether the porters were well fed and they all said they were fed three times a day at least with Kessy. Met a lot of free lance porters who worked for Kessy in the past in the streets after they asked about my injured ankle and they seemed to only have good things to say about them. They are also a local company so if you care about investing your money into the local community instead of an american or european company, this might be the one. I am writing this because I was just so impressed at the extent that this company went for us to make sure we had a great experience. They didn't give me a discount or anything to promote for them but I did promise them after the hike that I would help spread the word about them. Do not forget to tip well! Team Michael (our chief guide) along with the other assistant guides Chomoa and Japanese literally saved my life many times. I am not going to go into detail as to how they did since it might not happen to you but my experience was so lovely it made my first Summit of the World amazing.

Very good safari (guide & chef are amazing). We did the private one 4days 3nights (Tarengire, Serengeti, Ngorobogo). Worst it !

Kessy Brothers is a local tour company based in Moshi. I climbed kilimanjaro via Lemosho Route with the company after reading other people's reviews and I am so glad I did. The cost is slightly cheaper than many other companies you'll find online yet the tour included hotel stay before and after the tour, as well as the airport transportation. I had a pleasure of having Joseph as my guide who he has been doing this for over 20 years! As well as a great chef baba John! Of course all the Porters as and the waiter were all awesome as well. They all made me feel extremely well taken care of especially with my bad altitude sickness. The booking was smooth, comminicating via email or whatsapp, answering all my questions in detail promptly. They do require deposit for booking by bank transfer, which I initially didn't feel safe with such large amount but everything worked out fine. I have been recommending this company to others during the rest of my trip in Tanzania and probably will for anyone else who is considering to climb Kilimanjaro!
